There is no doubt that ebooks are an excellent money maker. They are a great viral marketing tool because they increase website traffic. 1. Write Or Acquire Some Content
Come up with something that you know about or a topic that interests you that you can research. It can be ANYTHING! or join an affiliate site and get e-books there that you can market.

Writing Your Own is the best method and the one that I am going to cover. Writing your own ebook means YOU control the distribution rights. It can be a few pages, such as a report or a thousand pages. The size of the product will depend on how much information is needed to explain what you are trying to cover.

The value of the information is what is important- don't try to make your book huge to try to increase the perception that is more valuable. And don't try to be too scholarly. Write easy to read sentences and get to the point. Users want information and facts. That is why they are purchasing it.

2.Build Your HTML Web Pages
If you are new to html then you will either need to learn it, or purchase a program such as Macromedia Dreamweaver, hire someone to create your pages, or find some templates. (Any method you choose will probably require you to be able to modify the html code so it is best to learn about it.) A good resource is Boogie Jacks. There are html tutorials that are easy to follow and there is even an html book that you can purchase. I learned most of my html knowledge from this book and I highly recommend it. You do not have to be a design expert. Just get the information into the web page so it is easy to read.

3. Compile eBook
After you write your ebook (I used microsoft word for mine) then you will need to convert it. One method is to convert it to a pdf file as I did with my ebook. PDF's work for both MAC's and Window users. The software to do this will need to be purchased from Adobe.

There are also many e-book compilers available. Some are free and others cost money. You can search the internet to find these. I have not used any of them so I cannot say how they work.

Once your ebook is written you will need a book cover. The one I used is eCover Generator. Using it was a snap. It took me about 15 minutes to create my ebook cover.
