Great Sources for getting Website Traffic
Below are some sources where you
can sign up and get FREE website traffic. I am also including
some sources for sites where you can purchase "CHEAP"
website traffic. If you are like me, you do not want to spend a
fortune on advertising for your web site. Website traffic not only increases
your search engine rank but it also gets your site visitors. Targeted traffic
is the best- link and banner ads are good advertising strategies. Untargeted
traffic still counts but may lead to less sales. You can have the most wonderful
web site in the world, but without traffic and visitors you cannot make
sales. Below are the sites that I personally use for Internetmoose.com and
are the sites that I recommend. A word of warning, some of these traffic
generating strategies involve pop under windows. Be careful not to overdo
it when adding these to your web site. One or two pages in your site is
ok, but your visitors could get annoyed and leave if you have them on every
single page.
Check your Traffic Statistics
Be sure to check out Alexa.com to check your traffic statistics. Enter your website address in the address bar and click "Get Traffic Details". It will tell you Traffic Details for your site including traffic rank, page views and reaches for up to a 2 year time period. There are graphs for all of these as well. You can also compare your site with other sites to check the differences in traffic. This site is a great resource. (You can also download the free alexa toolbar, a browser plug-in provides a wealth of information, including site statistics, traffic data and contact information for every site you visit.) Many search engines including Google use the site traffic data provided by Alexa Internet when they determine their web site rankings.
